We, Trend Electronic A.S. have been producing TRDLIGHT electronic ballasts since 2004. Trdlight electronic ballasts are the first and only EEIA2 category and TSE, GOST-R, CE certified electronic ballasts that are produced in Turkey. We are in the process of getting VDE, ENEC, ISO9001 certifications. The certification process will be completed shortly.
Trdlight electronic ballasts offer not only up to 35% savings in energy but also extend the lamp life up to %50. In order to shorten the usage of the harmful gases by %8, stimulate the usage of environmental friendly products, and increase the energy savings European Union signed the Kyoto Protocol.
The directives under this protocol are:
94/62/EC (Packaging and packaging waste)
98/11/EC (Labeling of household ... lamps)
2000/55/EC (Energy efficiency for fluorescent lamp circuits)
2002/91/EC (Energy)
The target of 200/55/EC is to improve the efficiency of the systems by limiting the ballast losses. According to article 2 of the directive, on 21'st of November 2005 only ballasts with EEIB2 or better are allowed to be placed on the European market. That means In European Union only A1, A2, A3 electronic ballasts and B1, B2 magnetic ballasts will be sold. This situation will be adapted by Turkey very soon. After D category magnetic ballasts have been phased out, phasing out C category magnetic ballasts made the A category electronic ballasts seem to be the best solution for fluorescent lamps because of their efficiency.
